6 months 3 weeks and 3 days

Thats how old Carter is. Not only is that how old Carter is that is how long I have been breastfeeding. I love it I have proved so many people wrong. I proved that I can do it. With so many troubles in the begging I am so proud to say that I have made it through the troubles when most women just give up. I think the average time people give up by is 6 weeks. I just can't understand that I mean that's when things just start getting easy. Breastfeeding has been a joy and I love it. I love that time with my son. Sure some times it would just be easier to prop a bottle in his mouth but I love that I can't do it. What I love most is when people see Carter and realize that he is a big healthy baby I know breastfeeding had a huge part in him being a huge happy healthy baby. I was at the store one day when a lady walked by and asked about Carter I then told her his age and said that he was really big for his age, she then said with out even knowing that he must be breast fed because he is so healthy looking. It was a huge complement. Breastfeeding in public is hard you get crazy looks. I just don't get it its natural I mean this is why we women have breast to feed our babies. I guess some people just don't see it as that. I just wanted to say how proud of my self that I am for making it to almost 7 months. Its crazy it seems like a year is just around the corner. Will I stop at a year only time can tell but I don't plan on it I only plan on stopping when Carter is ready to stop and I for now he is no way shape or form ready to stop and neither am I. The American Academy of Pediatrics recomends breastfeeding for the first 2 years and I plan on following there recommendations. In other news Carter has growen out of his infant seat so we went out and made the big purchase today. He got his big boy car seat. We havn't tried it out yet but we do plan on taking a drive tomorrow to try it out I am very excited. He will still be refacing as I plan to have him refacing as long as I possibly can. Probably until about 2 years old. Anyways after a ton of research he go the Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat. Its cute and really safe! I shall let you all know how our test run goes on it tomorrow.
